A Pacific Northwest native with a love for exploration, Bronwyn began her professional journey in the vibrant cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles, where she trained and worked alongside some of the industry’s top talent. In 2005, she felt the pull of Bainbridge Island, drawn by its small-town charm and close connection to Seattle.
Her passion for continued growth has taken her around the world, with advanced training in cities like Miami, New York, and London. Each experience brings new techniques and inspiration that she brings home to her clients and her team.
Bronwyn specializes in creating natural, believable color and timeless looks. While she has a deep love for classic beauty, she also thrives on bold transformations and complex corrective color work.
Firefly Salon, founded in 2011, was Bronwyn’s first "baby" and remains a true labor of love. She takes great pride in serving the Bainbridge Island community and in cultivating a salon space that feels both inspiring and welcoming.

Todd Baylor, owner of Firefly Salon, is a master of the craft with a reputation built on precision, versatility, and a deep understanding of all hair types and textures. Specializing exclusively in haircutting, Todd brings a refined and intentional approach to every client, delivering cuts that not only flatter but empower.
With years of experience behind the chair, Todd is known not just for his technical skill but for the care and confidence he brings to each appointment. His ability to truly see and understand his clients allows him to create haircuts that reflect who they are and who they are becoming.
A firm believer in the transformative power of personal expression, Todd draws inspiration from the words of Marianne Williamson:

Ashley Degrow
Stylist
Ashley is a true Color Specialist, bringing a wealth of expertise and creativity to every shade and style. From the moment Firefly opened its doors, she’s been an integral part of the team, mastering everything from bold, dramatic transformations to effortless, natural looks. Her passion shines through in balayage, ultra-natural hues, avant-garde color techniques, and the artistry of hair extensions. Ashley thrives on uncovering the perfect color and style that enhances her clients' individual beauty.
When she's not working her color magic, Ashley can be found indulging in her love for food—whether she's cooking up a delicious meal or enjoying a culinary adventure. Outside the kitchen, she's an avid crafter, a rock climbing enthusiast, and loves spending quality time with friends. For her, there's nothing better than unwinding at home with a captivating book or show.
Lesley Boynton
Stylist
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Lesley has always wanted to become a hairstylist. She began her journey at Gene Juarez Academy, graduating in 2010, and has never looked back. Through the years of refining her craft, she has worked to perfect the art of beauty with health and the environment in mind.
After cosmetology school, she underwent a year-and-a-half Sassoon-style apprenticeship here at Firefly that led her to specialize in haircuts, especially curly cuts. With further education and five years in Southern California, she has found her love for blonding, which includes specialized balayage, foiling, babylights, and more. She continues to take classes and keep up with the newest trends to keep all of you updated on your ideal style.
You’ll find her hiking, mountain biking, camping, and brewery hopping with her partner and two miniature Australian shepherds in her free time, and once winter hits, she’ll be skiing in the mountains; you’ll rarely find her anywhere else.
Maelena Mattson
Stylist
A true local with deep roots in the community, Maelena, affectionately known as Mae, is passionate about sharing the beauty and spirit of the place she calls home. Her in-depth knowledge of the area and its people shines through in everything she does.
Mae entered the beauty industry early in life and has spent years honing her craft across a wide range of techniques. Known for her love of all things hair, she brings both expertise and genuine enthusiasm to every appointment. Her approach blends modern styling with a sustainable, holistic philosophy, believing that the best results come from nurturing hair with intention and care.

Divina McAllister

For Divina, the beauty industry isn't just a career—it's a passion that has defined her for the past three decades. Her guiding principle? "Every day should be a good hair day." This mantra has earned her a loyal following of clients who trust her to turn this philosophy into reality. Known for her expertise as both a colorist and stylist, Divina takes pride in crafting unique looks that leave her clients feeling red-carpet-ready at any moment.
As a cosmetologist, Divina was determined to learn from the best in the business. She had the privilege of training under industry giants such as Xenon, Farouk, Bumble and Bumble, and Oribe. Their mentorship not only refined her skills but also shaped her signature aesthetic of effortless beauty.
Throughout her illustrious career, Divina has made her mark both behind the scenes in fashion and film and as a traveling platform artist, sharing her expertise with professionals nationwide. Her creative genius has been showcased in educational materials and local publications alike. Within Seattle's most prestigious salons, Divina has not only mentored aspiring stylists but also collaborated with the city's elite talent, cementing her status as a cornerstone of the beauty community
Emanuel Buenrostro
Stylist
Originally from the serene shores of the English channel and surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of Montana, Emanuel has always been inspired by natural beauty. His hairdressing journey started at Firefly with an intensive 2 and a half year apprenticeship, honing his skills in detailed cuts from Todd and color from Bronwyn.
Emanuel strives to blend a meticulous, classic approach to hair, with a contemporary style. When he’s not at the salon, you may find him rock climbing, playing chess, biking around the city, reading, and always listening to new music.
Odie O’Dell
Stylist
Odie was born and raised in Seattle and has been a hairdresser since 1984. He trained as an apprentice locally and continued to improve his skills studying internationally with industry leaders developing his own classic modern approach to hairdressing. An accomplished professional, Odie has styled hair for New York Fashion Week, has been featured in Allure magazine, and has performed on Bravo TV’s Ambush Makeover. He is known for creating haircuts using classic shapes and enhancing color with modern techniques. Odie has worked around the country in industry leading salons and is happy to return to the Pacific Northwest.
Michelle Bostick
Stylist
Michelle is passionate about hair and is now in her 40th year of working behind the chair. With decades of experience in cutting and coloring, she specializes in creating personalized styles that complement each client’s lifestyle and are easy to recreate at home. She has been featured in numerous magazines and continues to challenge herself through ongoing education to stay inspired and bring fresh ideas to her clients.
Outside the salon, nature is her greatest inspiration. She enjoys spending time on the beach at Miller Bay, horseback riding, kayaking, gardening, and skiing. Always up for an adventure, Michelle also loves traveling and meeting new people.
She works at Firefly Salon on Thursdays, and spends the rest of the week in Seattle at Salon Voda.
Esthetician
Meet Amelia, our esthetician! Specializing in facials, waxing, eyebrow and lash services, Amelia offers personalized and attentive care in all things beauty. She takes pride in building personal connections with her clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident. A lifelong islander, when she’s outside of the salon, Amelia is passionate about art and music, drawing inspiration from creative expressions in her everyday life.
Amelia Brofsky
Assistant
Jordan has had a lifelong passion for all things beauty. After thoughtful consideration, she made the decision to pursue her dream by enrolling at the Aveda Institute in Seattle, where she began her professional journey in hair. She graduated in July 2024 and is now continuing her advanced education at Firefly Salon, working closely with the team as our assistant.
Under the mentorship of salon owners Todd and Bronwyn, Jordan is dedicated to refining her skills and growing as a stylist. She has a particular interest in foil highlights, fashion color, and layered haircuts — always with a focus on creativity and personal expression.
In addition to hairstyling, Jordan also has a strong love for makeup, especially special effects and artistic applications. Outside the salon, she enjoys painting, walking her dog, experimenting with makeup techniques, and relaxing with a good movie.
